Parent Governors
We are pleased to welcome two new Parent Governors, Joseph Campbell and Amanda Ayres who will be attending their first full Governors meeting in December.
Joseph lives in Crewe and his son Lee joined The Russett School in 2009. He has several years experience as a school Governor at his daughter’s school in Crewe, which has just received an outstanding Ofsted report and where his particular area of responsibility is Governor training. He hopes that he is able to bring this experience to his role on the Governing body and to continue the good work that is already being done at The Russett School. In his spare time Joseph enjoys playing golf and coaching rugby and he is also an Explorer Scout Leader.
Amanda lives in Winsford and is mum to Luke who has just started in the Reception class at the Russett School. She also works part time in a High Street bank. This is Amanda’s first time as a School governor and she is looking forward to the challenge. In her limited spare time, she enjoys going swimming with Luke and taking trips to the seaside. She is also a good cook and loves to try out new recipes.
Joseph and Amanda join our two existing parent governors, Sarah McBrine and Clive Setford.
Clive, whose daughter Heather has been at The Russett School for 11 years, has been a Parent Governor since 2006 and currently acts as Chair of the Finance and Premises Committee. He feels that his job as a manager in the engineering and construction industry has helped him to fulfill his role on the governing body and is proud to have been able to gradually improve the quality of the school environment to the benefit of all. Outside work and his family commitments, Clive says he spends far too much time following rugby and Sale Sharks in particular!
Sarah’s son Arthur has been at The Russett School for 2 years. Arthur joined us from Rosebank School where Sarah was also a school governor. Her background is in HR and training and she worked as a Business Development Advisor, before becoming self employed some years ago and now typically works on Government funded contracts with small businesses. Sarah has been helping the Governing Body to achieve the Governors Mark, a quality standard that measures how well the Governing Body contributes to the leadership and management of the school.
