The Russett School is a special academy providing outstanding education for pupils and young people from ages 2 to 19 years with Severe Learning Difficulties, Speech and Language Difficulties and Complex Needs.
The Russett Learning Trust and Governors are seeking to appoint a Site Maintenance Officer who is self-motivated reliable and resourceful to join our team of committed and hard-working staff.
Duties will include premises maintenance, storage of cleaning materials, security of the buildings and site, ensuring inside and outside environments are well maintained and meet Health and Safety requirements. You will need to be adaptable to respond to the daily needs of the academy. As part of the wellbeing of the role there are no callout duties or weekend work requirements with this role.
Other necessary qualities include confidentiality, efficiency and being able to work on your own initiative, under pressure and a willingness to contribute to the continued improvement of our academy.
Hours will be worked Monday to Friday 7.30am to 11.00am and 2.00pm to 5.30pm approximately on a split shift basis (additional split shift allowance will be paid).

The Russett School require a temporary Midday Assistant to join our team. We are looking for a friendly, caring person to assist our hardworking team in helping to make lunchtimes safe, fun and happy for our children. This role involves preparing the dining hall, support at lunchtimes and playground duties. The right person will be highly responsible and motivated.
Hours of work: Monday to Friday 11.00am to 2.00pm (15 hours per week) 38 weeks per year (term time) Grade 3 + LW – £16,755.00 – £17,391.00 pro rata, per annum.

The purpose of the post is to contribute to the role of the governing committee in achieving its three core functions;
• Ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction within the context of the Russett Learning Trust;
• Holding the Head Teacher to account for the educational performance of the school and its pupils; and
• Overseeing the financial performance of the school and making sure its money is well spent
